CompeteSoft.comTM Software Solutions for Video Gaming and Competition -- Custom Software, Outsourced Services and Marketing for the Gaming Industry

TeamCompeteTM unveiled a new service offering bringing software development + outsourced gaming support services + marketing and branding services to the gaming industry. The new software services firm, named CompeteSoft.com -- referencing the focus on competition and software, will support the TeamCompete internal family of gaming sites and offer outsourced development services to the gaming and promotions industry at large. The service targets firms looking for professional software development and project management from skilled gamers and people with first hand experience running gaming sites.

Ed Hale, CEO of TeamCompete.com explained that “When we looked at what we had developed in the past 3 years as a competitive Xbox Live site offering teams a challenge ladder, tournament and league system, it was apparent that we had extensive industry knowledge that would be of value to other firms. Our individual professional backgrounds were in software development and systems integration so providing solutions related to gaming and software seemed like a natural fit for us.”

The CompeteSoft development team has been active since early in 2006 according to Hale. “Several new sites are being developed for release this year and several customers and prospects are already in the works from the CompeteSoft team. We see growth opportunities in several areas with the custom software development work being the most active currently.” He commented that projects in North America and Europe have been underway at CompeteSoft this year. “One thing we have validated thus far is the similarities, and not the disparities as had been assumed, between the worlds of offline competition and online competition. We’re seeking to build the common software tools that can support competition regardless of the location or level of sophistication of the promoter.”

CompeteSoftTM wants to be the firm that is called on to run a gaming tournament for a sponsor, or build a private gaming community, and add new features to existing gaming sites. “We see other firms that can build software. But few if any who can build gaming software solutions AND implement and manage them for a client. That is a niche we plan to fill over time,” according to Hale.

The site www.competesoft.com web site was launched at the same time showing basic capabilities and profiling staff resources. Additional project summaries, applications profiles and success stories will be added over time.
